August 3, 2026 (TAK): August 1 Communal Resistance Day, which this year marked the
455th anniversary of the Ottoman conquest of Cyprus, the 68th anniversary of
the establishment of the Turkish Resistance Organization (TMT), and the 50th
anniversary of the founding of the Security Forces Command (Güv.K.K.), was
celebrated with ceremonies and events.
